Purpose: The purpose of this trial is to:
- Assess the maximum dose of treatment that can be safely administered to patients with advanced malignancies
- Monitor and evaluate response to treatment
- Determine the effects of the drug upon test group
Eligibility: To be eligible to join this clinical trial you must:
- Have histologically confirmed malignancy (e.g. malignant mesothelioma)
- Have experienced recurrence following anti-cancer therapy or be unwilling to receive standard therapy
- Have a disease that can be measured or evaluated
- Not have any CNS or spinal involvement
- Not have had significant pericardial effusion
- Not have had hematopoietic growth factor therapy for at least one week
- Not have had anti-tumour therapy for at least four weeks
- Be 18 years of age or over
- Have life expectancy of at least three months
Due to the nature of this trial and the fact that it is designed for sufferers of advanced cancer, there is a very strict eligibility criterion.
