Purpose: The purpose of this trial is to:

  • Assess whether drug can hinder division, growth or lifespan of cancer cells
  • Assess effectiveness of treatment on patients
  • Monitor any side effects from use of treatment

Eligibility: To be eligible to join this clinical trial you must:

  • Be at least 13 years old if you have osteosarcoma, or 18 years old in any other circumstances
  • Have a measurable disease
  • Not have had chemotherapy for at least six weeks
  • Not have had radiation therapy to the brain for at least four weeks
  • Not have had surgery for at least four weeks

Treatment: The process will entail:

  • A five day continuous infusion of the drug every three weeks (up to nine courses)
  • Evaluation at four weeks
