However, despite the rise in resources, mesothelioma is still vastly under funded in comparison to other cancer research, and many support groups, centers and institutions rely on donations and public funding to carry out their valuable services.
The number of cases of mesothelioma in expected to rise over the next couple of decades, so it is likely that these resources will need to be added to, and that serious thought will have to be given to the issue of funding research and education in the field of mesothelioma and asbestos related illnesses.
