A group of parents have voiced their concerns and anger over asbestos presence in the school that their young children are attending. The parents of children from the Millfields First School in Bromsgrove, UK, are concerned that asbestos is being removed from the school during term time, and are angry because they claim that they were not even told about the project.
However, according to school officials the parents of the children at the school had been informed of the asbestos removal project from beneath the windows of the school, as had local residents living in the vicinity of the thirty year old school.
School officials also added that they were strictly adhering to government rules and regulations with regards to the removal, and that the skip contained the asbestos debris had been properly sealed off to keep youngster away from the waste.
Although the work was being carried out in term time, officials confirmed that it was taking place over three weekends, when children would not be at the school.
