UK Asbestos Seminar Arranged

June 21st, 2005

A facilities show taking place at the National Exhibition Center, Birmingham, in the UK, has made an unprecedented move by dedicating a seminar to asbestos issues for the first time. It is thought that facilities managers, who normally attend these events, will find this seminar of great interest because of its importance as well as the strong backing and support it has from major asbestos bodies and industry professionals.

It has often been said that not enough information and training has been provided to employers and managers with regards to asbestos dangers, diseases, removal, detection, and other issues. Many managers and employers have highlighted the issue of a range of regulations being brought in but without the necessary training and information for the regulations to be properly followed.

This seminar will bring together an array of people. Experts on hand will include health and safety experts, asbestos removal professionals, asbestos surveyors, legal and medical experts, PPE manufacturers, and training organizations. The seminar will cover everything from the detection and removal of asbestos to the dangers and legal implications of asbestos exposure.

The seminar is likely to be a huge success among facilities managers and employers, and it is hoped that this seminar will be the first of many held throughout the country, enabling more people to find out more about this deadly substance.
