The asbestos solutions provider in the UK, Thames Laboratories, has produced new guidelines, which have been made available to download online. The guidelines are aimed at property owners and managers, and the twenty-four page report is designed to provide them with information on asbestos management and the legalities of asbestos in relation to the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2006.
The publication is called Managing Asbestos: report for property owners and managers. There is a wealth of asbestos related information in the reports, including the manufacture of asbestos, historical usage of asbestos, the hazards and health implications of asbestos, and legal information relating to asbestos.
With the European Asbestos Worker Protection Directive (AWPD) in mind, the report offers new and updates guidelines that will enable property owners and managers to manage asbestos related issues more effectively, and to know where they stand legally when it comes to asbestos.
The author of the report from Thames Laboratories stated: "This report aims to provide a comprehensive introduction to the subject for property owners and managers, health and safety professionals, facilities managers, and - of course - all employers who have duties under asbestos legislation."
