March 28th, 2007
The third Annual Asbestos Awareness Day conference arranged by the Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization is set to take place at the end of March. The Asbestos Awareness Day conference will be taking place at the Drexel University College of Medicine, and the date is set for the March 31st 2007.
The conference is also co-sponsored by other parties, including Drexel University School of Public Health and the International Ban Asbestos Secretariat (IBAS). This will be a day long event, and will feature a range of discussions and topics, and will be attended by a number of experts in this area.
The program for this event is one designed to educate people and raise awareness about the effects of asbestos awareness, and dealing with asbestos. Among the discussions planned for the event are: prevention of asbestos exposure in schools, work places, homes, and hospitals; recognizing and treating asbestos related diseases; and the provision of support for victims of asbestos related disease and their families.
Jordan Zevon, the son of the singer and songwriter Warren Zevon – who died from asbestos related cancer – will also be performing at the event.
